The Inspiration behind George FC - George Albert Hale pictured pre-match in Adelaide.

George FC

The Idea for George FC began in September 2010.  Named after George Hale, my father who taught me everything i know about football and had recently passed away, i wanted to create a team he would be proud of based on his football ideals and general principles.  Always a great team player who gave his all to everything he did he played football for several teams including several of his ships in the Royal Navy. His highlight was appearing on Australian TV in 1961/2 when his ship HMS Carysfort's arrived in Adelaide. The ships two teams played top of the NSW 1st and 2nd division.

So following several Emails to the Manchester FA and lots of Ground work the Club was offically formed in February 2011 with a view to Joining the Manchester Saturday Morning Football League for the 2011/12 Season.

The Concept behind the club is simple, we are here to offer any player over the age of 16 the chance to be part of a team and play competitive League football.  We aim to win every Match through a mixture of hard graft and teamwork. We are here to prove this is the cornerstone of a successful club. The philosophy is simple, train together, play together, win together and as the club motto suggests :-   "Strength in Unity"

We also aim to work within our community and support selected charities, fundraising through yearly events.
